How do you know when you're ready for sex?

Knowing you're ready is something unique to each couple. I think it's important to talk to your partner when you're both level-headed and discuss your reservations and concerns about what will be before, during and after the "deed."

Don't expect it to come as a ray of light out of the sky. You'll feel that you want to share with your partner something special and that you want to take your relationship to the next level. What Ashley.Hartkin said is right though. Every couple experiences this in a different way so simply enjoy being together and follow your heart.

You don't know, you feel. There is no certainty when it comes to such issues. The best you can do is try and understand what your true feelings are so that after the fact you won't be sorry. I believe that as long as you do something whole heartedly you won't feel regret.

If it's your first time then I think you should figure out with yourself what you want. Do you want to experience sex before getting married or do you want to stay a one persons partner. Both are blessed I don't think there is a rule of thumb here. You can try what I did a couple of times,  I think the only way of knowing if it's not the heat of the moment is once you two get real close and the heat is rising is just to get up and leave with an excuse of not being ready. If tomorrow comes and you feel like crazy not doing it then you are ready,  you should meet up after a week and go for it.  If he was planning on leaving he would have.  If you feel ok about leaving  then you should give  it more time.

first,if you're a teenager,you're ready when you are mature enough to handle many situations,like,pregnancy or VDs!

if you are not a teenager,then to find out if it is just"in the heat of the moment"go out with him for awhile without having sex,get to know him more,when you like what you see and you care about each other,then you are ready!
