Hi Butterfly,
Getting married is a beautiful thing if:
1. Both of you are established in your careers and are both financially stable to be able to afford to raise the children that you will bring to this earth. With everything very expensive nowadays, do you have the financial capability? At 20 I doubt that you have a stable job that brings in good money.
Love is not everything. Once you will have to struggle to survive, love is going to fly out the window. You will start fighting and possibly end up in divorce. Money problems is one of the big causes of divorce.
Don't you think at your young age that you should try to go to college and finish a course? That way later on you will be able to afford to have several children without being a burden to the State. I have seen a lot of people your age rushing into marriage and end up receiving everything from the government, from free hospitalization during delivery, free formula, free housing, and WIC . Other working people are paying taxes just to pay for everything that the State gives (free dole-outs) to teenagers who are not responsible financially. That does not seem to be fair, is it?
So my answer is: You are far from being ready to get married at your young age.
