I don't know about Yoruba, but the words Pata Pata, of the same song title made popular by late South African songstress Miriam Makeba mean "touch, touch".
According to Putumay World Music, the song is in Xhosa, one of the clicking Bantu languages of South Africa and she sings "yiyo, pata pata" which translates to "it's touch, touch time" and it refers to an old dance that was popular when Ms. Makeba was a little girl. Hope this helps
