Take the example of charged-per-minute phone coversations: having to pay to talk, more or less acts as an incentive to focus on the most important things and cut the crap.
Do you think a business model around this principle can be applied to a service like Yedda?
The most straightforward approach for one to think about making money from a service like Yedda seems to be to charge for the knowledge/ expertise/ know-how you get from the answers. This is not practical for a variety of reasons, though. Then we have advertisement - obviously the current business model of Yedda. Not very impressive. Premium features? Again not very practical. Customize the platform for the private entperprise - sounds about right - the basic service of Yedda gets improved from the feedback of the wide public customer base and then the sophisticated product goes for narrow private use - but would that make enough money?
Then what if Yedda discovered a way to get money from making people participate with more focus and relevance in the discussions, just like in the example with the phone above? Any ideas if this could be really implemented to Yedda and how?
