When will yedda be internationalized?

Will yedda provide language specific user interfaces (French, German, Spanish, Arabic, etc.), and if yes, when?

Rejected slogan #235:

Yedda - a brain the size of a planet.

Yedda is designed to support full internationalization. Right now though, our priority is getting the English version feature-complete (or at least reasonably close to that) before we enable the internationalization features.

As I understand it, Yedda is an international site, and the main language of communication between members should be English, so if your English is good enough to write an understanable message then you should also be able to grasp the use of the interface. But this is only my opinion, the admins might want to allow question in other languages and answers in those languages, but this will leave a large portion of the members out of the picture...

People. Sharing. Knowledge. is hard enough without throwing the old language barrier in here. Unless I'm missing something, we're not talking about translating every question to every language, and then doing it over again for the answers. We're talking about different questions in different languages. Which is a lot of Knowledge missed. Just my opinion.

I would like to make a small suggestion under this topic. One of Yedda's competitors have devised a brilliant way of fostering voluntary translation of the service interface. The secret is in the downright ease with which one can suggest translations. You can see what I am talking about at: http://www.qunu.com/translations/ and then click on any of the languages.
