Yedda is about sharing knowledge so, I will share mine.
Open profiles: You can get information on people about age, sex, location (if they decide to provide it) and see questions they respond to. You can add tem as a contact. You can also send them invites to questions (providing they signed up with a real email account) if they didn't they won't recieve them.
Closed profiles: You see nothing, you can't add them as contacts and you can't send them invites to questions. If you are interested in what questions they answer, you only need to look on the main page and follow along. You can also click the "watch" on questions they answer and everytime they answer you will be notified by Yedda that a new answer has been posted. Again, only if you have signed up with your real email address and your settings allow for it. I perfer to comment to people with an open profile. For me, it adds some credibility to their answers, not thinking they are just some nut-job looking for attention.
Harassment and stalking: Some people claim "stalking" because a person may follow them and others, and comment on some of their answers or questions. I personally, feel compelled to challenge some people that I think give incorrect answers or bad information. If that is stalking or harassment, I am guilty. I am also guilty of exposing people that try to damage Yedda. I also feel that is my responsibility (in trying to be an asset to the Yedda community) to report any violation of the terms of use, abuse, spaming or anything else I think is harming Yedda and my fellow Yeddai. Exposing these people and the comments they make are what keep Yedda the best question and answer forum on the internet.
I encourage anyone that wants to keep Yedda free from the haters, fakes, cheats, and people that just want to hurt the community to report them.
My comments here are not pointing the finger at any one person on Yedda. Just an explaination of what I know about how Yedda works.
