If you gave your employer a two weeks notice of your resignation and they fire you on the spot;is that legal? Your contract do state that you must be written up three times before you get fired, and you termination was just word of mouth. Can any action be taken?
I would contact Human Resources at your company
Live Life like your Dancing and No one is Watching.. Love in life Like it's your last day on Earth, and Rememer to Pay it forward.
It usually is Illegal. However, If you signed an 'At Will" contract which simply means that you and or the employer may terminate the employment for any reason. Giving a two week written notice to end your employment and they fire you; means that they only may owe you for the two weeks that you would have worked with this employer. Since You terminated your employment by giving two weeks notice means that you quit. The employer has the descrition to let you go on the spot. Depends on what you signed when you were hired.
make sure i had another one

maybe its legal in other way, if you violate some of terms inside the contract and there are statements that they can fire you if you commit following actions like AWOL etc.
Fixed Cost Recruitment
Legally no,but if the company is prepared to compensate your notice period than i think it is fair.
