We were wrong about Obama......

Were we wrong about Obama?

Lately I have been watching and studying him and I think we were wrong about Obama, He could care less about us Americans I know this because he refused to bail at California when our Governor wants to cut off Welfare when at this time would not be good cause there are know jobs out here. What are the people on unemployment to do if and  when their unemployment runs out? You see California is officially broke I think it is probably the worst in the Nation. People are going to lose their homes and their children are going to suffer. all so Arnold can keep giving Hollywood Producers millions of dollars in tax credits. We all know that parents will do anything to get food and shelter for their children. So crime rate will go up. I just read that Obama totally against the jews and also he has called off going into middle east Countries to look for Terrorists. He even called the Jews infidels just like Iran calls them.

I am not sure where you are getting your information from but ALL of the states got stimulus money when the president passed the stimulus bill, including California.  Unfortunately your state of California was already bankrupt before the stimulus bill was passed.  As far as the crime rate going up goes, that along with the high rate of foreclosure is happening all over the country, not just in California and it has been culminating since long before President Obama was elected.  Greedy sub-prime, predatory lenders, crooked insurance companies, and the oil companies can foster alot of the blame for the shape our economy is in right now.  No president can fix a problem over night and right now, our economy is having a BIG problem.  As far as the other things you mention in your post,  where did you hear such bogus crap?  Do you have facts to back this up? And he hasn't "called off" anything regarding looking for terrorists.

Personally, I have supported every president we have had since I was old enough to vote, they are elected into office to do a job, to run our country.  To not support our president would be unpatriotic and unamerican.

Please educate yourself.

Best of luck to you.

This has nothing to do with a stimulus check, a stimulus check is not enough money to pull California out of the problems they have. Besides those little stimulus checks they gave us is not for California. I tell you California is worse off Even government employees are getting laid off and those who don't Police and the Post office and the DMV have to work 2 to 3 days a month for free. And our dumb Governor is cutting welfare now that people are going to need it most when there are no jobs. You know what if you do not understand what I'm talking about it is because you do not live in California and do not know what is happening. And Obama one I used to believe in will not even help California which he bailed out the car industry. And our Governor is giving the Hollywood Producers millions of dollars of tax credit and who is going to suffer the children.

Obama doen't care for America, Our Religion or our believes. He is a Muslum and Black Radicle who at a speach stood on the American Flag and refused to say the Apledge of Allegence. He covered Jesus over with the flag at a university that invited him for a speach. He sighs with the Iranians and all Muslums to inclus e those in Qwan Tonamo bay. This man has got to go before something drastic happens to this country. He also spat on the flag at a debate. He hates whies and Ameica in general. Has no respect for others and thier feelings.

Hu?  Do you honestly think if any of that were true he would have been allowed to be elected president?  And had he done any of those things you claim after being elected, he would have been impeached...immediately!  As for Amber, I wasn't talking about the little stimulus checks that taxpayers got, I was talking about the $7 billion dollars in the economic recovery act of which a portion was alotted to all of the states.  I do agree with you that your state and the others are in big financial trouble...and it's surely not going to go away over night, but if people are negative and bitter and slanderous, engaging in hateful rhetoric, then it's going to get alot tougher and take alot longer for things to get better.  We have to work together, not against one another.  This is America.  Now John McCain, he is a true patriot...he is an American hero who almost became president...you don't see him acting hateful or engaging in this type of rhetoric.  In fact it's quite to the contrary, he supports our president...he may not always agree with him, but he supports him...now that's a true patriot and maverick who loves his country.  Perhaps Bravewolf, you would serve well to follow the example of the Maverick.

Barack Obama is not a NATURAL BORN citizen of the United States.

The location of his birth doesn’t matter. It does not matter if he was born on the steps of the White House. He is not a Natural Born citizen. What matters is the fact that he was born with dual allegiance to the United States and the United Kingdom. You are not a NATURAL BORN citizen if another nation can lay claim to you. Period.
http://www.uniset.ca/naty/BNA1948.htm
Under Part II of the British Nationality Law 1948, Barack Obama Jr. was born a citizen of the United Kingdom by DESCENT because his father was a citizen of the United Kingdom.
5.—(1) Subject to the provisions of this section, a person born after the commencement of this Act shall be a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies by descent if his father is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies at the time of the birth:
If Obama Sr. became a naturalized citizen of the United States then this wouldn’t be an issue.
People are failing to recognize the difference between a US citizen and a Natural Born citizen. There is a difference. If there weren’t a difference then the Framers of our Constitution never would have used the words. The document is not meant to be repetitive/redundant. All of the words have INTENT.
The 14th Amendment has no bearing on Article II.

This was taken off of an Indonesian Website:

Former Menteng student now US President

Obama Barack has been democratically elected President of the US.

Quite an about face for the best democracy money can buy, in view of the Bush presidential se-lection.

But of course, corruption, collusion and nepotism is the sole monopoly of the Third World - or so the deluded denizens of the West repeat to themselves as they hug their knees, rocking back and forth - reminding themselves of how they uphold human rights equally across the board, entirely devoid of double-standards and totally oblivious to race, creed or religion.

Barrak Hussein Obama II was born to a white American Ann Dunham and Kenyan Barrak Hussein Obama Snr, in Nyang'oma Kogelo now in Kenya.

Here the Indonesian link starts.

Ann Dunham married in 1967 Lolo Soetoro, a Javanese, whose own father, in 1946 was killed along with his eldest brother were killed, after which the Dutch army burned down the family's home. Soetoro fled with his mother into the countryside to survive. Incidentally yet more proof of Dutch War Crimes - delibrate destruction of civilian property outside the scope of battle.

Pak Lolo Soetoro was an army geologist then later a government relations consultant for Mobil Oil. Obama describes Soetoro as well-mannered, even-tempered, and easy with people.

Barry Soetoro in Indonesia with mother Ann Dunham, step-father Lolo Soetoro, baby-sister Maya Soetoro-Ng.

From age 6 to 10, Obama lived in Jakarta. Age six, Obama attended the Catholic Primary St Francis di Assisi. Much was made of the lie he was educated in a Madrassa - or more accurately a pesantren - this of course was totally untrue. Obama Jnr later attended Model Primary School, Menteng and was registered as a Muslim - as his father was Muslim.

In Obama's own words:

In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell my mother that I made faces during Koranic studies. My mother wasn’t overly concerned. ‘Be respectful,’ she’d say. In the Catholic school, when it came time to pray, I would close my eyes, then peek around the room. Nothing happened. No angels descended. Just a parched old nun and 30 brown children, muttering words.

One of "Berry's" childhood friends was Adi who often visited "Berry's" 16 Jalan Haji Ramli house. Speaking volumes of Dutch "development" at the time the road was of this established middle-class neighbourhood was a dirt lane where Obama used to wile away the hours kicking a soccer ball.

Adi recalled Obama and his friends wore plastic bags over their shoes to walk through the muddy street during the rainy seasons.

Neighborhood Muslims worshiped in a nearby house, which has since been replaced by a larger mosque. Sometimes, when the muezzin sounded the call to prayer, Lolo and Barry would walk to the makeshift mosque together, Adi said.

His mother often went to the church, but Barry was Muslim. He went to the mosque,” Adi said. “I remember him wearing a sarong.”

Obama spent most his spare time hanging out with Adi and other friends at the home of Yunaldi Askiar, a classmate. They used to play a kind of fencing game using sticks, kick a ball up and down the narrow dirt lanes or go swimming in the river behind the school, said Askiar, 42, a car mechanic.

Obama was taller and better dressed than most kids in classes where shoes and socks were still luxuries, so he stood out from the start. As an African American, and the only foreigner, he suffered racial taunts and teasing but never turned to violence.

"At first, everybody felt it was weird to have him here," Israella Dharmawan, his first grade teacher said. "But also they were curious about him, so wherever he went, the kids were following him."

His friends enjoyed playing tricks on Berry: Harmon ASki recalled,

"Sometimes we'd say, 'Barry, do you want a chocolate?’ And we'd give him a chocolate. The next day we'd give him a chocolate again. The third time we'd give him terasi (fermented shrimp paste) wrapped up like chocolate. Obama didn't get mad. He would laugh it off."

Ann Soetoro moved to Yogyakarta, while Obama Jnr studied in Jakarta. She was inspired by Jogja village industries, which became the basis of her 1992 doctoral dissertation.

“She loved living in Java,” said Dr. Dewey, who recalled accompanying Ms. Soetoro to a metalworking village. “People said: ‘Hi! How are you?’ She said: ‘How’s your wife? Did your daughter have the baby?’ They were friends. Then she’d whip out her notebook and she’d say: ‘How many of you have electricity? Are you having trouble getting iron?’ ”

Dunham-Soetoro became a consultant for the United States Agency for International Development on setting up a village credit program, then a Ford Foundation program officer in Jakarta specializing in women’s work. Later, she was a consultant in Pakistan, then joined Indonesia’s oldest bank to work on what is described as the world’s largest sustainable microfinance program, creating services like credit and savings for the poor.

Obama in Hawaii with Maya and Ann and maternal grand-father, shortly after leaving Indonesia.

In his tellingly-titled Memoir, Dreams from My Father, Obama describes his Indonesian interlude as "one long adventure, the bounty of a young boy's life". But he also recalls being troubled by the poverty around him: "the empty look on the faces of farmers the year the rains never came," and the desperation of the disabled beggars who came to the family's door.

"The world was violent, I was learning, unpredictable and often cruel," he writes. Obama and his mother thus we were very well acquainted with the harsh realities of indigenous Indonesians.

Fermina Katarina Sinaga, recalled yojhng Obama in her class: in the common task of class to write an essay titled “My dream: What I want to be in the future.” Obama “wrote ‘I want to be a president,’ ” she said. During a later writing assignment on family, he wrote, “My father is my idol.

The Indonesian connection for Obama and all that shaped him proving once again all things Javanese and indigenous Indonesian the bedrock for the towering monuments built on the foundations of a great civilisation.

College pays fired witch $40,000 to settle...

Filed under: College , Career A former University of Nebraska employee who claimed she was fired for being a witch has agreed to settle her case for $40,000. According to a letter from the unidentified woman's attorney reviewed by the Lincoln Journal Star , the plaintiff took a job in 2007 directing a youth program. But according to her complaint, an associate dean fired her after learning that she was a witch and that her religion was "Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft". She filed a complaint with the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission, which found reasonable cause to suggest that religious discrimination was a factor. In a letter, the university said that the settlement was made "solely to compromise the claim ... without admitting the validity of plaintiff's contention or any allegations of wrongdoing by the defendants." Filed under: Banks , Fraud , Recession , Recession Diaries , Consumer Ally Beloved One, I have the Courage to Crave Indulgence for this most opportune business venture... Look familiar? A day doesn't go by day that I don't receive an e-mail from people with names like Dr. Fortunate Goodpence or Mrs. Pius Motubo soliciting my aid in recovering millions from banks in Nigeria, if only I just sent a little money to get started. Which means I greet each morning with the same thought: who still falls for this crap? Modern advance-fee scams, commonly called 419 scams after the number of the Nigerian Criminal Code, have been around for over twenty-five years, but exploded with the growth of the internet. So you'd think we'd all be wise to them, yet the latest statistics available show that worldwide losses to these kind of scams topped $4.3 billion in 2007 - and those were just the ones reported. Because, let's face it, losing money due to greed and a sense of colonial superiority to Africans is super embarrassing. The wonderful crepe: Dinner for less than $5

Filed under: Food Need to stretch that dollar to the max when feeding your family? Elise Cooke , author of "Strategic Eating, the Econovore's Essential Guide," says cooking for four for less than $5 is a snap if you think crepes. Practically by definition, crepes are made with leftovers, because the food in them only heats up long enough to melt cheese. Dig around in the refrigerator, and pull out what you've got. For savory crepes, some kind of pre-cooked meat, chopped small, with sauteed onions and added cheese taste wonderful. Most vegetables and grated or crumbled cheese do well in this dish as well. Crepes can also go in a sweet direction: chocolate, nutella, cinnamon-sugar, and sweetened thinly sliced fruits all make terrific desserts. Students may not be allowed to graduate...

Filed under: College , Health Inside Higher Ed reports that "More than two dozen seniors at Lincoln University, in Oxford, Pa., are in danger of not being able to graduate this spring -- not because they're under disciplinary probation or haven't fulfilled the requirements of their majors, but because they were obese as freshmen." That's right: the historically Black College has a new requirement for graduation. Students must either have a BMI below 30 (a BMI of 30 or higher is considered obese) or complete a one-semester "Fitness For Life" class. Some 19% of 2006's freshman class had BMIs over 30, but most of those students either lost some weight or took the class. However there are still about 25 students left -- out of a class of 484 -- who have neither lost weight nor taken the class.Continue reading Students may not be allowed to graduate because they're obese Students may not be allowed to graduate because they're obese originally appeared on WalletPop Blog on Mon, 23 Nov 2009 13:15:00 EST. Let us now pray: Church mortgage...

Filed under: Debt , Recession Sounds like it might be time to pass the hat again. Many churches are having trouble paying their debts. This article from Bloomberg profiles the Evangelical Christian Credit Union, which has written $3 billion worth of church mortgages over the past ten years. Unfortunately, the combination of payments that rise when rates adjust and less money to make those payments is hitting churches hard, and many of them are defaulting. Roughly 145 churches have had to declare bankruptcy because they couldn't make their mortgage payments. Evangelical Christian's percentage of delinquencies has doubled since 2007. The company steered its clients into commercial mortgages that were similar to the deals many Americans struck on their home loans, with lower initial payments that would balloon after a period of years. Many of the institutions in question refinanced in order to expand or renovate their facilities. At the time, this arrangement was a cheaper way for churches to make money than holding bond sales; in addition, churches were often approved to borrow more money than they could have raised via more traditional -- and perhaps less risky -- methods. Oprah retiring? Not likely

Filed under: Extracurriculars , Wealth , Celebs & Money The Queen of daytime talk shows has announced she is calling it quits after 2010 . Oprah says, "ending the show feels right in my bones." She goes on to further explain how next season, the 25th, will be bigger and better than ever as she says goodbye to her fans. What Oprah has "right to the bone" is an entrepreneurial talent to know how to maximize the bucks. She is able to get tons of publicity and interest by announcing the end of the show, thus guaranteeing good ratings and exposure for the Oprah brand. Oprah has amassed a large fortune with her company Harpo Productions, (Oprah spelled backwards), and is one of the richest people in the world, with a rating of 234 on Forbes Billionaire List. Oprah took a fledgling local show and launched The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1986. Her show is now seen in 144 countries and brings in 44 million US viewers each week. Her production company, Harpo produces Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray, and is adding a show hosted by frequent guest Dr. Oz. She partnered the Oprah Winfrey Network with Discovery with a launch set for late 2009 or early 2010. And Harpo Films just inked a cable deal with HBO after 15 years at ABC. Can you trust T-Mobile's Sidekick?

Filed under: Saving Money , Technology T-Mobile is restarting its Sidekick sales again after last month's data loss that permanently left its customers without photos, contacts or information. The only trouble was that a day after T-Mobile began selling its beleaguered product at a reduced price, it was reported that its UK staff was selling off customer information to the highest outside bidder. Severe data loss vs. security breach by employees ... which is worse? At this point, does it matter? T-Mobile, which is using Microsoft's Danger for Sidekick technology and data services, can't shift the blame on Microsoft for this recent security breach. Instead, it was solely the work of T-Mobile employees destroying customer trust. So even if T-Mobile is offering the Sidekick 2008 for $49 and the Sidekick LX 2009 for $149 (down $50 and $30 respectively from last month) with a two-year contract, it may not be worth it to consumers who have lost confidence in the company and can't trust their data won't be lost or stolen.
