I know that learning how to read and write Chinese is very difficult... but it is also incredibly interesting.  The letters are all artwork, and it's a really fun thing to learn.  Here's a

Start practicing by copying

chinese symbols on a large drawing surface. Pay attention to the brush strokes and the direction that each stroke seems to flow in.
