I been on workers comp for abuot 6 to 7 weeks but ...

i been on workers comp for abuot 6 to 7 weeks but i have not receive any works comp payment, what happend if i cannot wait for the check because i have no income coming in to pay bills and im force to quit my current job to get another one in order to generate income to pay bills, i work and live in nyc.
