Hi,
There are a number of ways to come to the UK and live and work in the UK.
1. Working Holiday Makers Visa
2. Dependent Visa
3. Work Permit
4. Tier 1 Visa.
Under Working Holiday Makers Visa (WHMV), you will be initially granted a visa for 2 years. During this period you cannot work for more than 12 months.
If your spouse has the right to live and work in the UK, then you can also live and work in the UK on a dependent visa.
If you can get an employer to sponsor your visa, you can work in the UK on a Work Permit. Generally, due to strict laws on companies employing migrant workers, many employers hesitate to sponsor a Work Permit.
Under the Tier 1 Visa, you can sponsor for your visa by yourself. You would need to gain 75 points under the following criteria
1. Age
2. Education
3. Past Earnings
It is not necessary to gain points under all of the above attributes.
Apart from this, you would also need to prove that you will be able to sustain yourself in the UK without any recourse to public funds till the time that you get a job and that you have good proficiency in English. For this, you would need to maintain GBP 2800 for more than 3 months in your bank account.
If your qualification is recognized as matching a UK degree for purpose of English Language, you would have demonstrated that you are proficient in English.
Hope that helps.
