looking for something that will record board meetings with good sound and can then be transcribed by software and printed. like a court reporter w/o the court reporter. thoughts?
Unfortunately, it seems that no current product can accurately record and transcribe a meeting. A leading voice recognition program, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, can do a good job with one voice, but not with a group of people. See: http://pcworld.about.com/od/digitalvoicerecorders/The-Best-Digital-Voice-Recorde.htm http://pcworld.about.com/od/voicerecognition/From-Speech-to-Text.htm Apparently automatic transcription of meetings is still a subject of scientific research: http://www.speech.sri.com/projects/meetings/
