I have been given a sub class 457 Long stay visa by an employer , does this helps me out in future for a Permanent Visa , is it good for me & my family to come & work under this subclass457 visa

Well yes, considering that its maximum years is for 4 years. By the time that your visa is finished, your other family member and you would have probably get another set of Australian visa .
