A word for a vivid memory

I'm looking for a word which describes a short story describing a vivid memory seared into ones mind so clearly that we can recall it years later as if pushing the play button on a video.

Sorry, but I was looking for a noun. I was thinking to use epigram, epigraph, epitome, or vignette with a number following each story, but now I find that they don't fit exactly.
