Why wont non christians just skip over religious questions

why can't yall just go on to the next question?  do you really believe you are going to change a christians faith by your poor opinions.  Go answer questions about premarital sex and alcohol abuse  and  leave us christians alone!

They can't skip it because it tugs on an unanswered question that God placed in their hearts. They can't divorce themselves from the issue because seeking the answer is built into them.

I was an atheist most of my life, and I didn't have any answers to questions about premarital sex or alcohol abuse then, even though I was involved in both. As a Christian, I do have answers. So let the seekers come.

When i answer religious questions i do so with the hope of adding information to the questioner's storehouse of knowledge.  Whether my information changes their beliefs or not is for them to decide.

Another purpose in my answering their question is to cause them to dig deeper within themselves for information with which to challenge my answer.  This not only helps them to strengthen their own beliefs but also helps me receive more information about their beliefs and what causes them to function the way they do.

By the tone of your question you appear to be a little insecure with your own beliefs and are afraid to be challenged by non-Christians because you might falter.

Don't be afraid of confrontations with people of other beliefs.  You will ultimately be strengthening your own current beliefs or grow into beliefs that are more suitable to you and that time of your life.

Those whom i meet

Those whom i meet, as Friends i greet,
And as a Friend i treat them so;
That when in need, or sadly grieved,
i may help their Spirits grow.

For unto this world, as a shepherd i came,
With a Life that's not my own;
And a purpose plain, that's not for fame,
But to help my friends get home.

So when i hear, upon my ear,
The sounds of troubled Souls;
i can do no less, then to do my best,
To help them toward their goals.

And i know i'll find, with the passage of time,
That i've helped their Spirits grow some;
And though appreciated, thanks aren't awaited,
For my friends are always welcome.

Christianity is a proselityzing religion; christians believe they have a right to attempt to convert or change the faith of others. How about leave the non-christians alone ? Non-christians have as much right to express their beliefs as anybody else.

Be wise

Nice answer, i can tell you are wise but let me clarify something for you.  I am not insecure in my religion, I am only worried about the people who are insecure and need only a little guidance from a fellow christian and they come on here and ask a question and instead of helpful advise or knowledge, they are pounded by people preaching evolution and other various opinions and they don't just state their opinion, they back it up with paragrphs of their scientific proof attempting to make believers feel , well plain silly.  Of course i know a true believer will already know who is the silly one but we aren't all that strong.  Bottom line, I just hate to know these people may be recruiting for the wrong Army

My reality check has bounced! Wink

It may be easier if you ask specifically for a christian perspective in your questions. Your question seems to be very broad and as a non-christian, I feel that I have very right to offer my own opinion on religious topics. I guess I could also ask why christians don't just skip over questions that pertain to my religion (Judaism)?
