There are many factors to consider when storing wine. These include: Temperature, humidity, etc.. I've found

this page to summarize it quite well. Some stuff concern wine collectors so just ignore it.

I have found that when I remove the air in a partially used wine bottle using a special vacuum hand pump and refrigertae the wine it barely loses its taste.
