Will whisky help to get rid of my cough?

I have had a bad cough for more than a week now and cannot seem to shake it. I have taken some cough syrup and took some time off from work to rest up but nothing seems to be helping. I tried tea with honey and drinking lots of liquids. I know that it's cold season, but what can I do to get better? Is it true that a little bit of whiskey can help kill the germs and make me better?

Whiskey and honey and lemon or pineapple juice....does wonders! I was always given this as a child when I had bronchitis all the time. I have recently used this on my children as well and IT WORKS!
