It seems like he certainly got off easily with only being convicted of three misdemeanor counts. He was facing up to 16 years in prison!!!. We should remember that he still faces some hard time in prison which shouldn't be taken lightly.
In general I feel that I don't know the whole story which makes it hard to make a judgment about the affair.
