A:Based on my experience, the baby's sex can be determined as early as the 4th month but my OB suggested we have the ultrasound on the 5th month just to be sure. But don't rely too much on the ultrasound -- life can just surprise you at then end of 9 months. I have a friend who was expecting a boy but had a girl instead.
