Which type of headpiece goes well with a wedding ...

It matters what the dress looks like, but I always thought it was really beautiful when brides wore tiaras (a small delicate one).

As the other answer states it does depend on the gown.  Plus the time of day, where the wedding is held.  You would not wear a long triple layer veil with a tea length dress at the beach.  But your doing the long train at night in the church yes.  You also may want to take in account your face, the shape and what your doing with your hair.  When I got married so many years ago, I put flowers in  my hair and had the long extended  veil with the 20 foot train on the dress. And my veil went past that. and the blusher.  See it depends on your choice of dress and theme.

Pretty much anything can go.
