The first step in web marketing is 'search engine optimization'. In today's crowded internet, your website or the products will be found by people only if you make it to the top of the ladder of search engine results. This can be done only by SEO. However, SEO won't get you the results avernight. In a long run, SEO id indipesable. There are lots of SEO techniques available now. Search for unique services to get the desired results. It depends what your selling and how quickly you need customers. For some using Google adwords and other such ad services provides clicks and traffic right away. Eventually most if not all sites need SEO, the key is finding someone that can actually do what they promise and not waste your time. If need a couple recommedations I can help you, one of the best I've found is High Rank Websites. I only work with attorneys but I know they do a great job. Hope this helps.

if your just starting I would start with a Google Adwords campaign till you get your organic rankings up and running. These guys have helped me out in the past High Rank Websites. They are experts in both.

Main Tactic is SEO and SEM :)

 

In seo you are listing your site in google result for free but it enatils a lot of work. Whiel in SEM you pay for every visitor given by google.
