How to wean toddler?

hi,

my baby is 16 months old and is eating solid foods. she breast feeds or rather pacifies on me when she is upset or when she is tired. when she was 3 months old i had her on a bottle and breast but she became less and less interested in the bottle and eventually she refused to except it. i weaned her from the pacifier at 9 months by substituting my breast. big mistake! now she is getting older and still wakes up several times during the night and i am tired of breast feeding. i recently tried substituting with a pacifier but she refuses it. she won't except a sippy cup either.do you have any suggestions?

It is a humanly reaction to build an easier habit.

wich can be replace by another, with some help .. here is an example.

older generations used to break this habit by putting chili on their nipples.

does not need to be to hot...   this will make the child look for a different option.

next time you offer to breast feed.  He will remember and not take a chance and refuse it.   Or   you can always just not give him any and let him get very hungry.

and take his second choice.. ofter a couple days... his adapted to his new habit.
