Is there a way to get my computer to recognize programs recorded on DVD+R DVDs?

Hi I recorded a program from television onto a DVD+R recordable dvd with my Magnavox DVD Recorder. My question is why won't my computer recognize these recorded programs on these DVDs? Is there a way to get my computer to recognize these recorded programs on my DVD+R DVDs?

I found the answer in my DVD player/recorder. It was pretty simple but the text was pretty small so I couldn't find the information the first 5 or 6 times I went through everything in the manual.

Basically these types of DVD recorders do have some option somewhere to format the rest of the DVD disc just keep looking. The creators of these devices are good at making it very difficult to find. Perhaps they are in cahoots with the copy right law folks.
