How many watt generator to run 220v dryer

You need to know how much current the dryer draws. I should have a label on it somewhere which will have all that information on it.

Then the formula to work it out is P=VI.

or Power(watts)= Volts * Amps (current)

Then u got the parameters amperes==?

Voltage==200v

U need watts==?

Power(watts) = voltage * current(amperes)

                         = 220 * ?

After this u will know the require watts for the dryer

2) if u are asking what is the generator required to run this generator

U have to calculate the apparent power(kva)

Means:kva=kw/cos phi 

Consider cos phi as 0.90 and kw( as per ur required wattage)

U will get the kva (rating for the generator)
