How do you get water out of carpet that doesn't have padding underneath? flooded toilet.....

whats the best way to get water up out of carpet that doesn't have padding underneath?? my son just flooded a toilet into half the house! yay!! all happened in about 2 min. while i was using the other bathroom! got most of the water up on my veneer (i think that's what it is, flat squares,) flooring before i ran out of towels. some n dryer now so i can finish. we have a room size carpet remnant in our room that is under all our furniture, and i can't move it without unscrewing my king size bed and moving it so that's not really an option. thanks for reading this overly detailed question!

Ducks Bump Wildcats in Game of the Year...

It was certainly further evidence that the Pac-10 is back as a national conference. After two overtimes and a touchdown with six seconds left in regulation, the Oregon Ducks outlasted Arizona 44-41 to take control of the Pac-10. For a while, the stars seemed to align for Arizona. California upset Stanford during the the third quarter of the Wildcats' game, bumping one Pac-10 peer from Rose Bowl contention. Meanwhile, Arizona shrugged off a 14-0 deficit to take a 24-14 lead early in the fourth quarter.
