wanting custody of my grandson!

How do I "prove" My daughter to be an unfit parent? I have been the primary caregiver to my toddler grandson since birth, mostly due to my daughters lack of parenting skills. How difficult is it for a (young/healthy)grandparent to gain  custody?

Life is too serious not to have a sense of humor.

Give the child back, Do not engage in child care until your daughter signs a document that gives you custody. It appears that you are making this much more difficult than it has to be. You might want to get DHS involved.

The situation is more complex than it my seem, the info. I provided barly scratches the surface. My daughter is currently homeless, she has been in Pendleton for the last 17 days partying. She would never sign anything.  She acts like the child is her trump card when she wants/needs something not to mention she would loose her walfare.

I am looking back thru some questions that I have answered. Forgive me for talking about your daughter.

This women is a minor, she has a child, she is on welfare, she shows no parental concern.

Go ahead and enlist DHS. You might consider a PI.

And when she loses her child and her welfare, be sure that you have your Teflon coat on. And the galoshes, too. Because she will come after you verbally.

Embracing responsibility for one's actions is a sign of maturity.

Your daughter's happiness is not your responsibility.

Hang tough.
