You have so many people wanting to loose weight and numerous advertisements on the subject. But what about people who want to Gain Weight? I'm going to provide three choices that should work in any situation.

1

Go to regular grocery store and purchase several jars of wheat germ.
- Once you make your purchase, open a jar and began to munch wheat germ. This treat is made of honey covered wheat.
- Whatever the time of day, when you crave a snack, pull out the wheat germ and have at it.
- If you desire something to wash the wheat germ down, a glass of water will do just fine. If you so desire, drink milk.
- Regardless to what meal you are having, try a spoon full of wheat germ to add to the taste.
- Wheat germ is great to start the day as a bowl cereal with milk.
- If you are in a health club or an athlete, keep up with your before, during and after weight. Share with associates what you are doing. Group participation adds encouragement.
- Beef works great for evening meals. Strive to have it nightly. After a few nights of munching wheat germs after your meal or with your meal, you'll find your body reminding you to add the wheat germ.
- Try to eat all your beef nightly if you eat nothing else of your meal. The wheat germ will provide you with the balance you'll normally get from your vegetable and starches.
- There are medications that will curb you appetite. If you find yourself losing weight because of your medication, look for ways that will allow you to substitute activities to achieve an increase in body motion. Because you are burning more calories, your body will become more receptive to what you are trying to consume.
- Whatever medication you are taking, ask your physician for a recommendation that will help with any side effects that might curb appetites.
- Ask if the physician have any tips they can give about others who found ways to combat appetite lose and was able to increase their eating habit.
- Once you sat your goal on a desired weight gain, consume a heavy meal one hour before going to sleep. Your body will begin digesting the meal but limited activity will limit calorie burning and you will began to hold weight. Regardless to what shift you work, a meal one hour before you go to sleep will help retain those calories in your system and thereby gain weight.
I discovered wheat germ while running track and playing football in high school in 1970. My track and field running weight was 142 pounds. However, my football playing weight was 172 pounds. The coaches one day jokeningly said "you guys light in the butt need to eat some wheat germ." Well a lot of us tried it and the results were great. When I first tasted wheat germ, I want

spit it out. However, after a few hand fulls, I learned to like the taste. I only wish the track and field coaches would had encouraged me to pick-up weight also. I think the extra weight would had helped greatly in the 'sprints'. Just the other day on a call in show, a man made reference to so many guys on steroids. He talked about wheat germ being the only thing they used to gain weight also. He also pointed out there was no side effects from wheat germ later down the line.
My mother did domestic work and played a big part in my gaining the weight. She made only $35 daily but she made sure I had some kind of beef on my plate nightly during those days I needed to gain weight. Because she did this for me, I made sure I never complained what she put on my plate and always ate everything. Such a partnership works great for motivation to keep going.
My youngest son was on medication for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In 2001 I went to pick hime up from school after a brief separation from my family and I swear the child looked like nothing but skin and bone. I literally cried. I began to take the child to the park daily to burn off a lot of that energy and his appetite began to pick up. Once school was out for the Summer, I would take him off the medication completely and made sure he had a lot of outdoor time to 'rip-and-run'. Over the Summer the child really picked up weight. When he had his doctor appointment, the doctor asked was we giving him the medication. I did not hide the fact from the doctor that we took him off the medication during the Summer and allowed the child to be a child and 'rip-and-run'. We then had the doctor change the medication from two times daily to once in the morning. The child has lettered in tennis the last three years and was second team 'Bi-City' in tennis for his Junior year. He currently stands six foot and weights 215 and played offensive and defensive lineman on on the football team. I looked forward to the possibility of him being 'Bi-City' First Team in Tennis at the end of the 2007 season. He is completely off the medication.
It can be very physical working in a mental health facility. In 2002 I got employment working with adolescents at a mental health hospital. When I began, my weight floated between 175 and 180. They closed the adolescent unit in 2005 and I was placed on an adult unit. I had been out of work for three months grieving over the adolescents and my weight slipped

below 170 pounds. When I returned to work the environment with the adults was very demanding and physical. After physically interviening in several altercations and getting my 170 pounds pushed around, I was told by several staff that I needed to gain weight. It was by accident that I discovered the eating and laying down put poundage on you. Night after night coming home exausted and eating late meals, someone commented that I was picking up weight. I checked and found my weight had gotten back over 180 pounds. I followed the eating and laying down pattern I had discovered and two months later I was over 210 pounds. It works. But don't get lazy and allow athe weight to turn to fat. Once you gain your desired weight, you can continue your eating pattern but do something to keep yourself active during your awake hours.

sirama7262, My husband has also had that problem for the past two years he is 62.  May I suggest that you drink 3-4 ensures  day.  They also have Ensure Plus that has twice the calories.  My husband loves the Butter Pecan.  They cost up to 10.00 a 6-pack at the stores.  If you have a sr. center near you they are only 14-15$.  Hve your DR. write you a sript for the Ensure.  In will help keep your weight up, and give you a lot vitamins and minerals as well.
