In my city there is a sign that says Police ...

In my city there is a sign that says Police Vehicles only. It is apublic street. The Police Dept. tickets people who are not members of the Police Dept. Saying this is for Police Officers only, They park their private cars there when they come on duty. There are no other signs such as Police Parking only. Just Police Vehicles only. I thought a Police vehicle was a black and white with lights and sirens. They do have special parking for their official cars. Do i have a leg to stand on if I go to the City Council. They might be undercover police cars. Detectives use their own cars. etc.

A police vehicle comes in many shapes and sizes. Why not give them the benefit of the doubt?

Officers also will ticket public cars in the spot if they show up. Heck, they would do it right away as it is near the station and that could be a threat.
