Time flies like an arrow.

Fruit flies like a banana.

Does anyone want Socialism?

Are there any democracies where there exists a political party that explicitly wants full socialism (government owns all major businesses) and is not a fringe party.

The French and Italian Communist parties still exist, and this might be in their platform, but are even they actually pushing for full socialism?  I cant think of any others.

I was looking for information.  Flak, if somebody looking for information makes you want to puke, then you have a problem.  Do you puke when you Google things?

The Partido Socialista Unida of Venezuela fits your description. This party grew out of Hugo Chávez "Movimiento de la Quinta República" in which he seeks to install "democratic socialism" in Venezuela.  They hold free and (apparently) fair elections in which Chávez' party has won repeatedly.  As President Chávez has gradually nationalized most key production operations as part of his "Bolivarian revolution". Unfortunately Chávez has also acted strongly to crush opposition and dissent but his elections (with international observers present) are seen as democratic.

Everyone who is poor wants socialism but those who comes in power dont want.

Just because we may disagree doesn't mean your right.

The message of Christ is the kingdom of God.

What one says, does, or thinks is all relevent.

All I can say to this question is,"Opps too late, we already are".  FDR started it, and every President since, yes every president has added to the change.

I think if you really don't like what America has become,  then get your Congressional Representitives to start taxing churches the cost of what they should have been doing in the first place.

The American democrat party wants socialism.  The American Republican party is to spineless to stop them and just keep skittering towards center.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, Establish Justice,; insure domestic Tranquility, to provide for the common defense, to promote the general Welare, and to Secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and to our Posterity, do ordain and establish the Constitution of the United States of America.

What you have in the United States is NOT socialism, that was in Russia before and after the Russian Revolution. What you have here is democracy. When GW Bush was in office he went to the extreme right wing of Capitalism. Any extremes of any politcal theories are bad for its citizens functioning under that Government. Obama, by the way, inherited all the evil of Capitalism at it extreme. That is why we are in the shape that we are. Michael Joel Held

Slovakia, a full member of the European Union! The democratically elected prime minister, Robert Fico, boss of the governing socialist part,SMER,who have 44% in the latest popularity polls has already passed laws forbidding private pension funds or sickness insurances  to make a profit and his government just passed a motion this week whereby the state has the right to buy the majority of shares in any company they chose with over 500 employees for a nominal value which the state can decide and forbid such a "strategic" company to dismiss or reduce staff!
