The only foolish question is that which remains unasked.

I'd recommend this program if you can get into it.  Additionally I have a sister-in-law that went through Vanderbilt's nursing program a number of years ago and is now the director of nursing for a rather large medical center.  Go for the RN if you can, there is a huge demand/shortage.

Hi Marcia, have you looked into online courses? I have been taking courses with Kaplan University to become a medical assistant. You can do this from home on your computer. They do offer nursing courses.

I agree with Patti, you may want to look into an online LPN program. There are so really good programs out there from trusted schools that will allow you to take your LPN courses online and get prepared for your certification exam.
