The new lexus es-350 is supposed to be cheaper (msrp lower) i liked the ruby red with the beige interior and there are 08s still on the lot . I have a 05 with the gold package and i have been complemented many times on the looks of the car. Anyway i have recently been to the dealer and had the 35,000 mile service done now the car has approx 37,500 miles and its fully loaded with navagation .I see them on the lot and they are asking 26,900 for them and without navagation...They offered me 19,000 for mine and thats greed because my car runs like new and is a beautiful looking car .....They will have it detailed .Put new tires on it and make it smell good and get 25,000 for it (easy) the msrp of a 08 is 34,200 ...I asked for 20,000 for my car ,the car i want has the ultra package which brings it up to 42,200 and i will finance 20,000 including taxes and tags ...Thats 2,000 below msrp which invoice says would bring it to 38,000 and change ...They will make approx 5,000 onmy trade and about 2,000 on the msrp ,bottom line i'm offering them 40,000 ..I think thats a good deal why are they holding out....One dealer said because its a smokers car ,the other said we have to put money in it and recertify it ,my maintenance record is up to date and the car runs like new....Should i spend for new tires when it just passed inspection a month ago at 35,000 mile service....By the way this is my 4th lexus ...What a way to show loyalty to a good customer . What am i doing wrong am i being unrealistic with the numbers? Are they just being greedy?
