First video game

What was the first video game? Was it PacMan?

actualy, "the first video game"  was a kind of "pong" and was played on an oscilloscope (a device that shows wave forms - you can see it in every electronic lab).

the year was1958 (way before Pac Man that came around 1980).

Well, the first one I saw was the primitive "tennis" game (for 1 or 2 players), where you'd move up and down your racquet to try and "catch" the bouncing ball (1 big pixel) on time.

 It was well before the pacman age, around the mid 70's.

The game everyone is referring to was called "

Tennis for Two," and it was invented by William Higinbotham. There are a couple of interesting articles about how it came to be, and even a simulator.
