Which video card should I buy?

Which video card should I buy?

I'm buying a computer, and amm perplexed by the number of available video cards ...

Here's what I need basically:

I'm no gamer, but would like to be able to play the occasional game with reasonable graphics.

The motherboard I have selected is Intel DP35DP (although this too is not cast in stone). The card should be PCIX of course.

I want to connect my computer to a TV and stereo to show movies in the living room.

I would like NOT to replace the video card for at least a few years.

I suppose my budget is under 100$ for this, although maybe even this is too much.

You should look for a graphics card with PCIe X 16 connection.

You can use ATI's 16XX or 19XX series or Nvidia 84XX or 76XX/79XX series, all of these are not state of the art but they're adequate to your description, take a card with at lest 256MB memory.

Look for a card with an S-video out put or a RCA output (video output).

As to specific model and prices you should see in you region what is available.
