My vet just prescribed Tramadol, for my 6 pound Chihuahua! She told me to give her 0.5 ML orally, twice a day! I've noticed that her breathing is a little fast, and her heart seems to be racing a little. Is this normal, or do you think the dose is too high, and I should take her back in to the vet, or am I panicking for no reason? Thanks!

I'll admit to not knowing the specific drug and it's intended dosage, but when in doubt about any sort of medical procedure- get a second opinion!

Better spend another couple of bucks on your peace of mind, and not worry for ages, possibly with a good reason to worry.

Ask another vet, and sleep better at night.

Good luck.

If you trust your Vet just call.  Verify the dosage.  You can never be to careful with little
