A:Nirb, are you going to do this planting in Israel? Didn't think so. Most vegetables grow good in all areas of the country if planted at the time for your zone.It shows this on your seed packets and if you buy plants they come out when the time is right for planting outside after all frost or freeze warnings are passed.I have found that only a few plants of Cucumbers goes a long, long way. Tomatoes do well and multiply untill late in the fall, Pole beans or bush bean do exceptionally well and there are so many others.Ask some of your friends or neighbors that know something about gardening and I bet they can tell you what to plant and what insects to look out for.They can probably tell you how to squash the little varmits too.
