Asked about “heat pump prices

Can a used heat pump be sold to offset the cost of a new unit?

Do heat pumps have a used value or are they transportable? I would think they should be worth something. What do contractors do with the old one if replacing?

Peace. Love. Recycle.

It can be sold but not for much. If you want to try and sell it, I'd recommend posting it on www.ebay.com.

Nah! It's worthless. Ship it to me and I'll recycle it for you. I like giving something back! Be sure you ship the manuals with it too so I can recycle them!

Seriously though, poor people like to save money too. I'd try cheap ads in local papers. People might want it to average out the air conditioner bills from the summertime. Be provocative!
