Have you used Twitter?

How do you like using Twitter? I started using twitter but, do not see any advantages yet in using it. I would like to know your opinion as maybe I am not using it to get the full affects of it.

Twitter is strange. But it's comforting when you're bored or sad or can't fall asleep. You can see what friends and interesting people are doing. Or you can learn what the world is talking about (http://www.twazzup.com/).

Cheryl,

Twitter can be many things to many people. If you are using it for Cheryl's gifts, you need to be both social and then a bit promotional. It can't just be one way ads. Also, to be useful, you have to have followers -- people to listen to and people to talk to. Finally, it takes time to build that following. I'm a Twitter skeptic, not a fanatic, but I do see benefits.

Thanks for your response to my Twitter question and, for your suggestions. I will click on the link you provided. Twitter seemed to be the "talk of the Town" on all the talk shows. Curiousity got me to sign up to Twitter and, I am still a newbie on the site. Thanks again!

I use two twitter to make link back and announchement to my site ,and another side effect having share with twitter is ,you always can get access to "people who impossible you approach in real live"

I use twitter for business and it's very beneficial. I make announcements like "we're closing at 3 p.m. for the holiday", etc.

Not sure why anyone would use it to say "i'm going to the store", etc...

but, start tweeting and get the hang of it. it's a wonderful tool when needed.

There are definitely benefits to using Twitters but you cannot just be passive. You must engage and become part of the conversation. Shouting your messages simply does not work.
