do you know why has the usa droped all of its resturant health cards, for employies,?
only one person has to go down to the health dept.to be educated, and exam, dr. letter, their health? this is very dangerious
It is a waste to have every person in a workplace do the full training on health codes. It makes more sense that one person is in charge and responsible to tell the others what is procedure. I can see how it might be dangerous as well. It is just unrealistic to expect everyone in a workplace go through health code training.

rayjay83: Health codes still exist. I work in the food service part-time, in an Elderly Housing, we serve one hot meal a day 365 days a year. Health Inspectors come in twice a year. Check out our kitchen, temp on refrigerators and the walk in freezer and refrigerator. Checks the dishwasher temp, checks pots and pans and that food is properly wrapped. We even use a <!-- /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> thermometer to check the temp of foods before we serve to make sure the temp is correct for chicken, beef, fish etc.

I didn't know this was the practice now. Is this just in your state or every where? It is not a good practice to try to get out of the codes of the food industry, because of E-Coli and filthy people.Don't they do the inside inspections anymore? I still see in Georgia, where there are inspection certificates on the walls of the food establishments here. Everything is checked for temperatures and cleanliness and scored. There have been a few places so bad they just padlocked the door right then.If it didn't have a inspection certificate on the wall and the employees were not as clean with my food as I think the Health Department expects, I would no eat in that place ever.E-Coli is serious stuff and it weakens the body fast.
I think this is in order to simplify the process. There is no other logical reason.
