When I upgrade to a new versions of AOL I lose my e-mails and favorite places. This prevents me from upgrading now.
Has AOL created an upgrade that will carry over all the old e-mails and favorite palces?

I would be upgrading to the version newer than 9.0
All of my past upgrades have resulted in a loss of stored e-mails and favorite places. They could not be accessed from the newer versions of AOL.

If upgrading from a previous version of 9.0 to AOL 9.1, your data should definitely be saved and accessible via the new software.  Please see this help article and follow those instructions:

Hope that helps!

Okay I see that is promised but I never know what will really happen until I start to convert to 9.1. Thank you, Chris. I will try this sometime.

If you are up to another question..

why is it that when I reply to an e-mail ( my settings are set to copy the original message into my reply)--why is it that the text cursor doesn't appear at the top of the e-mail as it conveniently does in Outlook?

Just one of those quirky bugs I wish was fixed.

Thanks again, Chris

If you upgrade to AOL 9.1, the default setting is to start your reply at the top of the message.

 Have fun upgrading!  :)
