Why is Yedda fast becoming a dirty smutty site ...

Hi ,there are many of us that agree that the language needs to be cleaned up here on yedda. Many times we will chastise the person writing the question and let the administrators know of the problem. I may get in trouble for this, but the problem seems to stem a lot from the association with AOL Coaches, the majority of the sex related questions now come from this site.

We encourage you to stick around and help in this situation. Lend us your answers to questions that others may have. There is one guy on here who in his own little way without being downright nasty, will often give a sarcastic answer to try to get them to think about how they word their questions. We have another that will give them straight forward answers that will hopefully solve their problems.

Stick around and give yedda a chance, it really is a great site and does help a lot of people get the answers they need. By the way I am in no way speaking for yedda and the administration and do not work for them. It is like a community of friends here and I for one would like to see it continue as such.

I couldn't have said it (the above) better ma'am and I understand your concerns.  I too have found that some questions are very vulgar, and often times it is an adult forgetting that this site have children.  Some times inquisitive children will post smutty questions too.  Overall, it is the adults.  But  when we notice questions indecent questions, we will admonish the author. 

Efforts are in the work to combat the problem, and to make Yedda a much friendlier child content site.  I'm sure that was the intention from the beginning, but a small number of people can spoil it for some and I apologize. 

Please consider making Yedda a site where your child can obtain homework or any other advice, or a place where you can obtain family oriented answers for any questions you may have in the future.  As a soldier in the U.S. Armed Forces, I thrived to associate myself with decency -- for the good of the people, and for myself.  I too would not want to associate myself with vulgarity as I am not allowed.  

So stay with us for a while, and view the changes that are too come.  I can assure you that I have spoken with Yedda managers, as I am not an employee either, and they are aware of problems and are working on implementing tools to help with this and other problems.

You can help to alert them of your issue by clicking on the feedback button.  They are quick to respond.  Give it a day or two. So let them know how you feel, and I'm certain they will address your particular issue, if not already.

You are the type of person that Yedda is trying to cater to but unfortunately some postings slip through. My experience has been that every time I hit the feedback button to report smut the posting is immediately removed. Please reconsider.
