how long could a patient live with gangrene that cannot be amputated
Some where in Arkansas.
Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.
I could not find an answer for this on Google.
There are two types of gangrene, wet and dry.
The first type occurs with extensive injury to the tissue. It is caused by bacteria. I think that in nearly all cases, the patient will die without amputation.
The second type is dry. This is caused by bad arterial circulation. I suspect that survival will be much longer in this case.
