Do uncomfortable shoes become comfortable from wearing them?

If I get blisters from a pair of new shoes, and I keep wearing them, will I eventually stop getting blisters from them?

Probably not.

This used to be quite common reasoning.  It stems from the actual part where people would wear one pair of shoes or boots for a new role/job and really go through the paces with them.  People's feet would blister and harden against the friction of the shoe or boot.  But it would be a slow and painful process.

But for everyday wear and tear, where the shoe or boot is not a requirement for a job and people rotate shoes, the chances of your feet adjusting to the shoe is not likely.

If this is just an everyday pair not required for your job or role, why not treat yourself and your feet to quality care?

Hope that helps.

My policy has always been to NEVER try to save money on shoes. Poor fitting shoes not only cause blisters but affect your posture, walking, and outlook on life. Shoes should fit comfortably from the first try-on in the store; usually later in the day when the feet have swelled to the maximum.

If you are getting blisters from wearing them, you need to stop wearing them. Blisters can become infected and cause you more problems than you care to deal with.

As harryvan stated, poorly fitting shoes will affect your posture, walking and outlook on life.

Improper fitting shoes cause stress on the back, are the cause of many foot problems such as bunions, corns, torn flexor plates, hammer toe and a few more problems not to mention that they make you feel miserable which in turns makes every one around you miserable.

So in short it is your fault that we are all having a bad day.Cry

Get some new shoes and have a healthy, happy life.

Good luck and best wishes.
