I asked a question several days ago about the first major battle between the USA and NVA Regulars which ocurred in Nov. of 1965 in an area called LZ Xray. I came across the movie with Mel Gibson called "We Were Soldiers", based on the book "We Were Soldiers Once...and Young". This film is based on a real life event. Lt. Coronel Hal Moore leads into battle the First Reg. of the 7th Cavalry Mobile Division. My question was how many NVA men where there on Nov. 14, 1965 fighting in LZ Xray and how many casualties were there of our Soldiers? Thanks, Diane from Arizona
