I hav been wearing my hair short for years. I'm looking for a change, I'm growing it out in long layers. People have told me i wouldn't look good in longer hair as i'm 64 years of age.I consider myself very trendy, in great shape. could you give me advice on what i should do?

Merrill Streep is almost 60, and nobody thinks she should have short hair.

Did you see the movie she just did, Mama Mia?

If it looks good and you look younger..go for it.

If it has the reverse effect...cut it off.

I am 59 years old, have always had short hair up until 6 months ago.  I decided to let it grow out, had it cut shorter in the back and the sides come forward like a long wedge.  I love it and have had a lot of compliments on it.  I say do what you are comfortable with and not worry about what others may say.
