I want to go to Puerto Rico - I only have a California Drivers Licence and a social security card. I have no passport or birth certificate is this enough to travel and get back into the US
Always know what you want.
I'd suggest checking out the United States' Department of State guide for documents needed to travel internationally.
You don't need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico if you are traveling from California and you are a US Citizen. Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth of the US-and Puerto Ricans are US Citizens since 1917 under the Jones Act. You will need proof of identity but not a passport. The last time I went, I don't think I needed my birth certificate. Check with the airlines.
Puerto Rico is a free associated state of the United States of america and travelling there is like going to any other state of the union all you need is the same ID that you would need in any other state
ok where are you living now. if you in new york you could come to puerto rico all you need is a ticket and i.d. card to prove you are the person getting in the plane and that all.................life is nice here
