In order to travel, your passport is expected to expire at least 6 months prior to your travel date. I'm quite sure that you will not be able to enter Mexico. My advice to you, would be to go to your nearest embassy AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, and apply to renew your passport. I'm certainly no pro when it comes to the laws governing international travel, but would wager a guess that traveling with an expired passport is the same as traveling WITHOUT a passport. Many countries won't even permit using a passport that will expire in less than six months. I suggest you check with a travel agency, an airline, or even a post office that issues passports.
