Why do foreigners dislike Americans?

It is often contributed to our attitudes. Many Americans think that they are superior, more intelligent and more advanced than many others.

It is common for Americans when traveling abroad to flaunt this attitude and show disrespect for others.

In simpler terms, we are jerks.

This is very true, and you also have a running theme of wanting to push your culture onto others who do not want it.

i mean like the UK you are over weight, under educated, think everything is disposable, we are violent with out cause (meaning gang fights or for pure pleasure) and polluting the world.

i have been lucky enough to travel a lot, and i did find americans stuck to their own (generally) and like tiptop said are fairly disrespectful, due having such money some used this in a very rude way.

but atleast these few actually left their country, most stay in america their whole lives as they do not NEED to leave, this is why a lot of you only know about America and feel this is the the way to be and everyone should be like it. having things called the "world" games but only including the USA.

also the fact the US are viewed as trying to police the world due to their imence power does not help, you all most have a them and us attitude....

this is all very generalised but this was the feeling i got when i was away and now..... hope this is not too offensive, this is not what i am trying to do... just answering the question.
