Asked about “Frequently Asked Questions on QueryCAT: The visa (stamp) in my passport has expired. Is there a problem?”

Can i travel to other countries after my J1 Visa experies but DS-2019 is still valid?

I am xxx (say India) citizen, my J1 visa expires in August (but DS-2019 valid till 2009), but I want to go to yyy country (say Malaysia) for research work in November, does US Immigration allow me for re-entry? Or should i need to apply for US visa in that country? If so does it take same amount of time and procedure? fee etc

no you cant its expired in august so you cant used it anymore just renew you visa
