Concerning the sandbox here's the best answer that I can give:

The sandbox is a new filter that Google applies to nearly all new websites as a way of fighting spammers who figured out the basic elements of Google's ranking algorithm and abusing it. When the the new website is in the "sandbox", it will show in the result pages, but it will not rank well no matter how well optimized it is. Google would still index new websites quickly, but they would they would be on probation until they passed all spam filters. Then they would be allowed to join the rest of the established websites.

To determining whether your site is in the sandbox, if your site is not ranking well despite the quality of its content and the quality of its inbound links. Or, if it ranks well in all the other major search engines, but not  in Google's rankings.

To get your web site out of the sandbox, all you can do is wait. The sandbox filter does not have a permanent effect but is only intended to reduce search engine spam. So, if your web site is legitimate it will eventually leave the sandbox and show up in the search results like all  the other established websites.
