While your question appears to be tongue in cheek, attempting to exert your will over another is a big no-no.  Tends to rebound back onto you.  However, in answer to your question, the Presidency has been bought and paid for since the death of JFK as has the Vice-Presidency.  Let's look at the last couple of Presidents, GW twice and now Obama.  Both cheated to win.  Is the highest office in the land worth it?  Very few truly honest people make it into high political offices because they are honest and can't be bought out.  In order to level the playing fields several things have to happen.  1.  Get rid of the electoral college.  That system is outdated and bring back the popular vote. 2.  Stop allowing the news media to control who the top candidates will be.  3.  Get rid of the shadow government.  4.  Get Big Business and the PACS out of government.  Special interests are killing us.  5.  Stop voting for legislators that don't vote for what the constituents want and vote for what group has lined their pockets the most.  I'm not saying that everybody who holds office is dishonest, but let's look at who has run, say over the last 20 years that was basically honest and how many of them were in the final group of running and how many of them were forced to drop out.  The system needs a major overhaul.  Democracy has been dead for years.
